Launch of Fife Cantata CD
The St Monans Community Choir launched its Fife Cantata CD at the Mayview Hotel in St Monans on Friday 6 April 2012. The Fife Cantata was a creative collaboration between the composer Brian Craib and myself. Brian put five of my poems to music in a composition that was showcased at the St Monans Community Arts Festival in 2011. It was an exciting and moving experience to be involved in this project. You can read more about the Fife Cantata CD here, and listen to it here. Launch of the 2011 William Soutar Writing Prize Book It was a pleasure attending the launch of the 2011 William Soutar Writing Prize Anthology Stone Tide. The event took place on Saturday 17 March 2012 at the North Inch Community Campus in Perth. Writing Workshop at The Serenity Cafe Project In March I ran a creative writing workshop at The Serenity Cafe Project in Edinburgh. There was an excellent turnout, and it was great to meet and work with the folk who came along. I would like to thank everyone involved, especially the organiser Gillian Gibson. I would like to thank the staff and pupils for their support and participation, as well as Margret Blow, Chairperson of the Dundee and Area Children's Book Group, for organising the events. | Winner of the 2011 William Soutar Writing Prize
