Moniack Mhor I had a great time in July 2011 attending a Fiction Writing Course at Moniack Mhor. It was good meeting up with everyone and being guided by our excellent tutors Candia McWilliam and Stephen May. Fife Bookfest Fair In 2010 I read at the Fife Bookfest Fair and sold copies of my Spiritual Recluse and the Bebop Prism poetry/CD booklet at the event. Pittenweem Arts Festival Poetry Reading In 2009 I, Gordon Meade and Eleanor Livingstone gave a Cafe Poetry Reading in the Cocoa Tree Cafe at the Pittenweem Arts Festival. St Monans Poetry Booklet In 2008 I initiated and organised a poetry competition in St Monans to raise funds for the local nursery school which had been destroyed by fire. I edited and printed three hundred copies of a booklet of the winning and commended poems, judged across three categories: under 12, 12-16 and adult. An enjoyable poetry reading event and exhibition was held at St Monans Primary School, where the poets read their work and received prizes. Money collected from booklet sales and this fund-raising event totalled over £650. |
