Course Information
Welcome to Writing Voices Online Writing Mini-Courses
This is Module 2 – Poetry Writing.
Each module consists of three sessions.
Each session has three components: theory and practical examples,
writing advice and guidance, and a creative writing exercise.
All writing examples are from my own work.
The aim of each module is to connect you to your writing potential and help you develop your writing skills.
I believe that everyone has the ability to express themselves creatively.
Insight, guidance and practical self-expression are the keys to unlocking this energy.
Session 1 explores the forms poetry takes and how you can play around with these shapes.
Session 2 traces the movement of words in poetry and how you can find your own rhythms.
Session 3 examines the significance of word-choice and word-order in poetry writing.
Writing is an affirmative act, whether you work through laughter or tears.
It is a journey-process – a self-expedition.
